Fair Work Act Amendments 2024. The second round of the federal government’s “closing loopholes” amendments to the fair work act 2009 (cth) (fw act) were passed by parliament on 12 february 2024. These changes, stemming from the fair work legislation amendment (protecting worker entitlements) act 2023 and the fair work legislation amendment (closing loopholes).

This includes the right disconnect, casual employment changes, changes to the definitions of ‘employer’ and ‘employee’, a new. 2 amends workplace relations laws and follows the royal assent of the fair work legislation amendment (closing loopholes) act 2023 on 14 december 2023.
